SKY HD PSU Repair

The Thomson HD Sky box has a known common fault on the psu unit in which the capacitors dry out and can give various faults including no signal being received and unable to power up. If you send me your faulty power supply I will send you a fully repaired and tested unit back with all of the capacitors changed including the main 400V main capacitor and I only fit high quality (Panasonic)high spec components to ensure the problem does not reoccur . Because I carry the power supplies in stock I can have an exchange one shipped back to you the same day of receiving your faulty one.

I have had years of experience in repairing Sky Boxes so if your power supply is found not to be faulty I will return it to you and advise you on other possible causes of the fault and can offer a full box repair if required. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions

If you would like to send me the whole Sky HD box with the power supply in it , I can repair and return it by courier for £45.00 (or if it’s easier I can arrange to have it collected from you by my courier for an extra £10.00)

Before opening up your Sky HD box to remove your faulty power supply please make sure it is unplugged from the mains supply. If the power supply has a fault on the primary side where the plug socket is located the main capacitor can hold a charge of over 400 Volts so be careful not to touch the underside and do not place it on a metal surface.
